We are a lively, friendly church, middle of the road in tradition. welcoming to all, especially newcomers, and those coming to us for baptisms, weddings and funerals.
Our vision statement sums up what we are about;
Now open for Services
St Luke's is now open for our normal pattern of services on Sunday at 10 a.m and and on Wednesdays for Holy Communion at 11 a.m. Go to our Services page for details and to access the weekly Zoom service for those who are unable to attend in person.
We are delighted to confirm that the church will also be open for private prayer at the times listed below. Do come along to sit and listen to quiet music, to pray and light a candle for loved ones . You would be very welcome indeed.
Monday 10 - 11 a.m. and Friday 2-3pm
Here for All Appeal
St Luke’s Church is here for everyone who needs us. Even when the church doors had to close in March, we carried on “being church” – you can read more about that on the appeal leaflet here.
Like many individuals, businesses and charities, churches have also lost income during these last few months. As we open up again we badly need to recover some lost funds so that we can continue to be “here for all”. Together with some virtual fund raising events we hope that this special appeal, which we are holding in place of our usual Gift Day in October, will raise £6000.
If you are able to make a donation to the appeal and give us some much needed financial help at this time please donate here. For more details on the appeal and how St Luke's aims to be 'here for all' please click here.
There is also an email group you can join for mutual support- if you would like to join one please contact Caroline on email@example.com
The Church of England is publishing regular guidance for churches which we are following. You can find this on their website www.churchofengland.org.
